Within the group of up-to 12 guests there will most likely be different levels of fitness. Everyone is an individual and can only do what their bodies are capable of, so we do not expect everyone to be at the same levels. Workouts mostly run on a timed basis, which means within the time frame given (normally 30 sec-1 minute) you do what you can do in the amount of time given. The trainers will be there to motivate and push you to your limits, so don't worry about not getting the most out of the workouts. As for the hikes, if the trainers feel that they need to push certain guests more than others, adaptions will be made.
Everyone in good health. We are big believers in fitting a healthy lifestyle round a busy life. The group workouts are timed group circuits and deliver just that, relatively short intense workouts with maximum effort to receive the maximum results. The circuits are compiled of a number of 'stations', You will have a certain amount of time at each station (45 seconds for example) to perform as many repetitions with good form as possible. You then will have a short rest period before moving onto the next station. In this mode of training it is about how much you can do as an individual in the set time, not how many reps the person next to you is doing. someone of relatively low levels of fitness can train alongside someone of high levels of fitness, it is the effort of the individual at each station that counts.
All of our exercises will be a mixture of bodyweight and the use of functional equipment. When you arrive home from The Retreat, we hope that you take with you, knowledge about living a healthy lifestyle, different types of exercises so you will be able to keep up the good work. Our aim is to try and give you exercises that you can do at home so you can carry on progressing on what you learned at The Retreat.

Tenerife is one of the lucky places, which has year-round sun. In the summer months it gets especially hot. Our workouts are mainly in the mornings, which is the coolest part of day. Afternoon hikes will be in the middle of the day and that’s why we ask you to bring, hats, high factor sun cream and we will be making sure you are drinking plenty of water. If at any time you feel it is too hot and you cannot continue, we will make sure you drink plenty of water, cool your body and heart rate down, before you stop exercising. We are here to help.
